Welcome to Soaring Eagle Ecology Center (SEEC)

Soaring Eagle Ecology Center (SEEC) is located in beautiful Red Feather Lakes on approximately 20 acres directly south and west of Red Feather Lakes Elementary School. In a pristine montane forest environment adjacent to Roosevelt National Forest, it is the perfect setting for environmental education. At over 8,400 feet, SEEC OFFERS ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION WITH ALTITUDE!

SEEC's mission is to offer hands-on, outdoor education to promote understanding and appreciation of the natural world.

SEEC has been a proud member of the Colorado Nonprofit Association since 2011.

SEEC Announcements

Soaring Eagle Ecology Center (SEEC) has reserved the following dates for free SEEC outdoor programs on SEEC land in Red Feather Lakes - Monday through Thursday - June 24th through June 27th. These programs are great for elementary and middle school kids.

SEEC volunteers had the honor of facilitating a Rocks and Minerals programs for all of the third-graders at Eyestone Elementary in Wellington. They were fabulous rock hounds and a great group of students. Always a pleasure to teach at Eyestone!

Soaring Eagle Ecology Center (SEEC) was honored to facilitate our 6th annual STEM Extravaganza at Red Feather Lakes Elementary School on Tuesday, February 5, 2019. The kids, teachers, parents and volunteers were all terrific and everyone had a blast (literally with the AirZookas)!

All of the volunteers at Soaring Eagle Ecology Center (SEEC) wish you a happy and healthy New Year. As you know, SEEC is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit that offers free environmental and STEM programs for learners of all ages.

Soaring Eagle Ecology Center (SEEC) is listed on Poudre School District Share It and offers free environmental and STEM programs to meet your students' needs. Outdoor learning at 8,400 feet in a montane forest setting is indeed Education with Altitude !

SEEC has been part of the Larimer County Bluebird Project for the past three years. We are proud to annouce this year we have our first pair of Mountain Bluebirds that produced a successful clutch of four young that have all fledged.

All About Bears was fun, interactive and hands-on. 18 kids and 7 adults learned about our mighty and magnificent Colorado Black Bears (did you know there are over 19,000 Black Bears in Colorado), along with important information in the Bear Aware program.

A big THANK YOU to the Search and Rescue team of Jill and Skid for a fantastic program. All of the kids (and adults) had a blast learning about S&R and important, life-saving  safety tips. You two are a terrific team!
