Larimer County Bluebird Project
SEEC has been part of the Larimer County Bluebird Project for the past three years. Kids in our summer programs have built nest boxes for the project. On the left you see a photo of a male tree swallow posing during last summer's Nature Photography for Kids program on the roof of one of the nest boxes. If you look closely, you'll notice his mate peeking out from the nest box opening. Our five nest boxes are monitored once a week from April through August and the data is used by the Bird Conservancy. SEEC would like to thank our 2018 monitoring volunteers: Sandy, Anna, Barb, Judy and Vicki for being part of such a cool citizen science project.
